Grapple, map system and gliding
Savage Horizons (Demo) » Devlog
Over the past few weeks I’ve made solid progress on several core systems for Savage Horizons. First, I implemented a brand-new map system that captures the world directly from a dedicated camera and displays it seamlessly in the game. Then, I created a custom glide mechanic that reacts dynamically to wind zones, allowing the player to rise or fall smoothly depending on the environment. Finally, I refined my ledge-hanging system to feel more responsive and natural, giving platforming a much more polished and fluid feel.
More improvements coming soon!
